ranting because people are stupid

I HATE stupid people on facebook.
There is a line between mildly entertaining and stupid. 

One of the things I hate the most are the "share if you _______"
or
"like if ______  or comment if ______"

For example.

Share if you want to stop animal abuse.
Share if you like wearing skinny jeans. 

Like if you have Bieber Fever, comment if you hate him"
Like if you think this girl is beautiful, comment if you think she's ugly. (with some poor random girl's picture)
Like if you're a girl, comment if you're a boy. who will win?

I have a lot of younger cousins on my list.
These are the main culprits, where age is forgivable (preteen, teen).

However, one girl on my friend's list constantly does this and shes in her 20's.

Today it was "Share if you think we should have an animal offenders list." 
I wish I was kidding.

K firstly, what would this list entail? Would it just be those who have abused animals in the past? What is the spectrum?
If they have been charged then they are on a list of sorts to ensure they don't own animals for a given amount of time - one that the police hold and are responsible to uphold. So that takes care of that problem.

Secondly, this is completely different than a sex offenders list. The public is made aware if they are in danger of a sexual offender - one who preys on strangers. I'm not pretending that I'm an expert in animal abuse but it seems as though MOST cases involve people with their own pets, not others. This is just based on my knowledge of the subject. Therefore, the risk to the public's animal population doesn't seem to be very high. The offender would need to steal your pet to abuse it or do it when you're not looking. Typically you have your pet within your grasp. On a leash, in your home, in your fenced back yard, etc.

And YES I realize that there are some people that go around poisoning animals and such too. But those with a past in animal abuse will be the primary suspects in the case, no?

Think of all the problems that arose out of places releasing sex offender lists. There is a huge spectrum of offenses that could have been acted on and people automatically suspect the worst. The last thing this world needs is some crazy PETA activists storming around killing off animal offenders who may have just left their animal in the car for too long.

I'm not downplaying animal abuse, it just seems a little bit ridiculous. I do however, believe there needs to be stronger penalties for animal abuse, but that is a different story. Obviously no one likes someone who abuses animals but what is the point of making a list for it?
Oh ya, there isn't one. 

Let's make a list for people who have been caught stealing before.
Let's make a list of people who have had a speeding ticket before.
Or better yet a parking ticket!!!! Those damn people parking without a pass. I wanna know who they are so bad!

Let's start out by making a stupid picture on facebook and getting people to "like" it or "share" it. Give me a fucking break.

Just a waste of resources and time.
Donate to a shelter or adopt a rescue animal. Seems just a LITTLE BIT more proactive then "sharing" a picture on facebook.
