Here are some of the main points of the trip:
- Saskatchewan is seriously flat.
- The drive is SO boring. And looong.
- We stayed in an old folks home. I had no idea you could even do that!
- J's grandmother is one of the most precious people I have ever met. She is in her 90s and still has a good head on her shoulders. I am so happy to have been given the opportunity to have met her.
- I went out to J's farm - it was so beautiful. The house was built in 1905 and they had a bunch of old barns and tractors.
- I got to shoot a gun for the first time! I shot a giant shot gun that had a bitch of a recoil. It slipped when I pulled the trigger and actually hit my bicep, not my shoulder. My arm instantly went numb and I had a giant bruise.
- I then got to shoot a rifle which was soo easy in comparison.
- I GOT TO DRIVE A TRACTOR! A FUCKING TRACTOR!
- Some of the trees on J's farm were hit by lightening and we charred all the way up. So neat.
- Small town people are SO friendly.
- We rented a canoe and J took me around the lake in it.
- I am so country!
- But not actually. My boyfriend is though.
- I had such a great time <3
- Then we came back to Calgary to see all the fake cowboys and cowgirls that were out for Stampede.
